If you want to 'commentate', try doing different playthroughs one commentating the other one not,Īnd definitely let the music play a few minutes in every new spot, before talking over it. The players can create their own decks, which need 60 cards from five different types: resources, troops, artifacts, constant, and quick action. Try to do it as a new player and really go slow and let it all sink in. In HEX: Shards of Fate there are so far more than 350 different cards that players can collect and use during battles, with more added with each update. Lastly, (if it's not obvious - I wish I had the time to do this all myself), try to make it like a 'new' player and explore, click, read and see everything.ĭon't 'rush', people who want to appreciate a game don't want it 'speed-run', they want to savor and explore the sights and sounds, Try to do every strategy possible with every deck and hero type. Try to play, and show, as many decks and types of cards as possible, try to do multiple run-throughs with different decks and completely different heroes. Tied into the 2 above - Please make sure to allow people to LISTEN to the MUSIC (!!) - Meaning when you 'play', please allow a few minutes in every 'new' area to let the music be 'heard', many people love the music in this game and would want to be able to loop it on their own pc, and if there isn't a chunk of time they can listen, it'll be doing the game a big disservice. Please - Play the Campaign All the Way Through - !! No joke tons of people would sit and watch every single video, especially people who couldn't play it themselves, and really appreciate the story-lines, the music, the ambiance. Please Make Sure the videos are High Quality !! make sure the videos are good quality, nothing is sadder than seeing a great mmo that shut down be shown in a 'bad' light, from poor frame-rates, music you can't hear, fuzzy resolution, etc, It's fantastic that someone would take the time to upload videos on the game, in fact, I highly suggest some things just as advice to really help it go smooth and fulfill the role something like this has - to show people how awesome not only this game is, but also to do mmos a favor and 'save' them for the future (YES, tons of people would definitely watch and appreciate the effort, especially for a game as great as this). Nothing is worst than losing all the hard work, art, music, story-lines and experiences mmos have, because they shut down and it's all 'gone' forever, And if you need some more information, or are just looking for some beginner's guides, then you should probably go to the official website.IN fact (no joke) this is one of the -Most Important- thing people can do that love gaming !! So if you feel like giving Hex a try head on over to Steam, the game itself is free-to-play. Well, much to my surprise, the answer is absolutely nothing! Naturally there is a bunch of cards you're probably going to want to collect and/or purchase, it is a card game after all, but the major portions of this update appear to be completely free for everyone to enjoy. Given the size of this update, and the fact that Hex: Shards of Fate is a card game, I'm sure you're now wondering how much is this going to set you back. If you're interested in learning a little bit more about the whole update, but more specifically about the lore behind this new campaign, then you should probably check out the most recent trailer. In order to further this goal the developers have recently released a rather massive updated titled Chronicles of Entrath: Chapter 2, which brought with it a ~40 hour long story campaign, a new playable class, as well as a variety of other minor changes. For those of you that might not be aware, Hex: Shards of Fate is a Magic: The Gathering inspired card game that's trying to combine the best aspects of TCGs and story focused RPGs.
